THE HOUSE WITH LAUGHING WINDOWS (1976)
Stefano temporarily takes up residence in a small, sleepy village where he has been commissioned to restore a fresco painted on a rotting wall of the local church by a mysterious, long-dead artist. Stefano learns that the artist and his two sisters tortured people to death as inspiration for his work. As he is discouraged throughout the town for the restoration, some of the villagers are murdered, and Stefano suspects that their killer is trying to keep him from discovering the full truth behind the artist's sinister legacy.
